Shirley Wohler

Shirley Irene Wohler, age 86 of Riley passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022.

She was born on July 31, 1935 in Pawnee City, Nebraska, the daughter of Clyde Edwin and Imo Isabelle (Jones) Rowland.

On December 1, 1951 she married Robert (Bob) Walter Wohler in Pawnee City, Nebraska.  He preceded her in death in 1995.

Shirley was a farmwife and a member of the the American Legion Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.  She loved riding her motorcycle, keeping her license current up until her death.  She enjoyed painting, gardening, cooking and horses.

She is survived by her beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Wohler; her parents; one sister, Dorothy Holmberg and two brothers, Glen Rowland and Jess Rowland. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Larson officiating.  Burial will be in the Randolph Fancy Creek Cemetery.

A memorial may be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School and left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home.
