Robert Stephen Griffith, age 54 of Manhattan, passed away July 20, 2015 in Topeka, Kansas He was born on April 16, 1961 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Walter G. and Norma Jean (Shearer) Griffith. On June 20, 2014 in the Virgin Islands, he was married to Angela Schaefer. She survives of the home. Robert was a certified public accountant and had a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He was the chief financial planner for GTM Sportswear. He was a member of the Society of Certified Public Accountants for the state of New York, American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s and Boat Owner’s Association of the United States. He attended St. Luke’s Lutheran Church In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Bradley Griffith and Derrick Griffith, both of Horseheads, New York; three daughters, Alissa Griffith and Evelyn Griffith, both of Colleyville, Texas and Caitlin Griffith of Horseheads, New York; his father, Walter Griffith of Willmington, North Carolina, one sister, Sue Sargent of Bisbee, Arizona; three step children, Wyatt Alexander of Clay Center and Aidan and Kendal Proctor, both of Manhattan and two grandchildren, Aubrey and Ella. He was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Griffith. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the St. Luke’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael J. Schmidt officiating. The Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley is handling the arrangements. A memorial has been established for the Robert Griffith Memorial Fund to be established at a later date. Contributions may be left in care of the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home in Riley.
