Patricia Davis

With profound sadness, the family of Patricia Louise Davis, age 86, share that she passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville, KS. She was surrounded by so much love and so many family members at the time of her passing.

Pat was born on November 25, 1939, at a small farm NW of Waterville, KS, the daughter of Gerald Nolton & Lois Frances (Tryon) Yungeberg. She spent most of her life living in the town of Blue Rapids with her family.

Pat married Glenn Weiche, and together they had four daughters, Lori, Michelle, Robin, and Glenna. During that time, she was a Sunday school teacher, and farm wife. Later in life, Pat married the love of her life, Eldon Davis. Eldon brought three more children into her life Bruce, Dianne and Karen.

Pat served as the Activities Director at Cambridge Place & Blue Valley Nursing Home. She was an active member of the St. Mark’s Episcopal church, and she served on the altar guild and the church vestry with Eldon. She volunteered for various fundraising events with the church and in her community. Pat helped with the Harvesters Backsnack program, the RSVP program and helped students bake bread during KS Day festivities. Throughout her life, Pat aspired to be a chef, an artist, or a writer. She had written several poems and was hoping to finish a short story she had been working on.

The most important thing for Pat was her family. She was the heart of her family, the gathering place where everyone went to meet, have coffee, laugh, and love. Cooking was her love language; the coffee pot was always on and there was always food to share as cooking was her love language. Being surrounded by loved ones was something she cherished. She would host “coffee club” with her nieces and sisters, and loved to have tea parties, to bake, to color, to dance and play with all her grandchildren. Her family will fondly remember how, when leaving her home, she would go outside and wave goodbye, until she could no longer see them. Pat was an avid reader, spending many weekends at the library with her girls and exchanging books with her sisters. One of her favorite series was “Little House on the Prairie”, and she would read to her girls before bed each night. Pat enjoyed being outside, planting flowers and tomatoes, and camping with Eldon. Fancy Creek was one of the places they went to the most. Pat was also known for her off the cuff remarks and a sense of humor that kept her family on their toes.

Patricia is also a tissue donor, so her life lives on, not only with her family, but in those that will benefit from her final selfless act on earth.

Pat leaves behind a loving family, including her daughters, Lori Dornbusch, Michelle Martin, Robin (Sean) Martin, and Glenna (Kris) Beckley, along with Eldon’s children, Diane Davis, and Karen (Rob) Swearingen. She is also survived by her brothers: Jerry (Selene) Yungeberg, Mike (Mary) Yungeberg, and sisters: Nancy (Ivan) Walker, Carol Kurtz, Mary Alice Baker, and Marjorie (Roger) Zvolanek, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great, great, grandchild and a large extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eldon; stepson Bruce Davis; sister Bev Martin; and two grandchildren, Zachery Jones and Alyssa Davis.
