Norman H. Danielsen, age 93, of Randolph, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at his home south of Barnes.
Norm was born June 15, 1932, in Kansas City, to Holger and Myrtle F. (Treas) Danielsen. The family moved to the Waterville area a few years later. Norm graduated from Waterville High School in 1950, then from Kansas University in 1962. Norm met Lola L. while working at Hallmark in Kansas City, they were married May 27, 1956 at Blue Ridge Christian Union Church.
Norm worked as an accountant and auditor for Hallmark Cards, Inc. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waterville and the Waterville Lion’s Club. He had also been a member of Sertoma one of the oldest service clubs in the United States, where he had served as International Treasurer among other positions.
Survivors include his two children: Geary (Jeanine) Danielsen of Wichita and Tish (Robert) Heavner of Randolph, six grandchildren: Dane, Steen (Taylor), Jens (Hannah), Kirsten (David), Jessica (Chris) and Erik, fifteen great-grandchildren Soren, Leif, Mads, Anders, Else, Rasmus, Lindsay, Madison, Dalton, Sadie, Soren, Colton, Joey, Alyssa and Gage and a great-great grandson Elias.
Preceding Norm in death were his parents, two brothers: Donald Danielsen and Chester Henley and two sisters: Ruth Lawson and Frances Uhl.
Viewing is from noon to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, with visitation being from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Christie-Anderes Funeral Home in Waterville.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 3, 2025, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waterville, with Pastor David Thompson officiating. The congregation will sing “How Great Thou Art”, “Amazing Grace” and “Just A Closer Walk With Thee”, accompanied by Kim Oatney. Casket Bearers are: Geary Danielsen, Robert Heavner, Dane Danielsen, Steen Danielsen, Jens Danielsen, and Jonas Smith. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Waterville.
Memorials are suggested to St. Mark Lutheran Church for the nursery and children’s programs, and may be sent in care of Christie-Anderes Funeral Home, PO Box 61, Waterville, Kansas 66548.
