Lavona Harding

Lavona Charlotte (Cline) Harding was born at Fay, Oklahoma, to Leslie Harold Cline and Arvilla Lorene (Baker) Cline, and passed away at the age of 88.

Lavona grew up on the farm and graduated from Oakwood High School. After graduating, she attended Draughon's School of Business. At one point, she played the base fiddle for the Cliff & Smiley Square Dance Band.

Lavona worked for Standard Life Insurance in Oklahoma City for 5 years before transferring to their location in Lincoln, Nebraska, where she worked for 14 years. She also worked part time at the University of Nebraska for 10 years. She met Daniel E. Harding while he was working as an insurance adjuster for Standard Life Insurance and the two later moved to Clay Center, Kansas. They were married on June 10, 1965, in Ottawa, Kansas.

In October of 2021, Lavona moved to Watonga to be closer to the family.

She is survived by her sister, Velta Quintle and husband Edward of Watonga, Oklahoma; her brother, Dwane Cline of Watonga, Oklahoma; two step children, Danette Miller and Kevin Harding, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.
