Galen Owen

Galen Jay Owen, age 85 of Green, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Colmery-O’Neil VA Medical Center.

He was born on February 23, 1932 in Kearney, Nebraska, the son of Howard and Murna (Shubert) Owen.  He was a truck driver, working for different companies throughout his career.

He is survived by his wife, Karen (Hancock) Owen; two sons, Rick Owen and wife Carol and Timothy Owen; one daughter, Renae Self; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and many other family members.

Cremation is planned with a memorial service at a later date in Nebraska.  The Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
