Eric Poulin

Eric Joseph Poulin, age 51 of Riley, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

He was born on December 24, 1974, in Manhattan, arriving as a Christmas surprise to his parents, Lou and Velma Poulin.

Growing up, Eric was always in action - building ramps for his BMX bike and skateboard, climbing cliffs for fossils, exploring Wildcat Creek or Pillsbury Crossing, and playing disc golf with friends. After high school, Eric earned his CDL license working for Walter-Morgan Construction and then Bayer Construction as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Crew Foreman. For the last twelve years, he was a Public Works Operator II for Riley County.

In his time off, Eric enjoyed garage-sale hunting, riding his Harley-Davidson and time spent outdoors. He was happiest in the woods, hunting and hiking, or on the lake kayaking. He had many favorite fishing spots and even ice-fished in the winter.

He married his second wife, Bethany Selby on April 18, 2025, finding happiness, a deep connection, and a committed partner and step-mom for his youngest son.

He was preceded in death by his wife Bethany and his parents.

Survivors include two sons, Colby Poulin and Camryn Poulin and his sister, Michelle Tissot.

A Celebration of Life will be in the Spring of 2027 and inurnment will be in the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan.
