Ed Woods

Craig "Ed" Woods of Junction City, Kansas, passed away on June 16, 2026, at the age of 72.

Craig was a devoted father, grandfather, and friend whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved. He was the proud father of three children: Jaime Kinderknecht and her husband, Tony, of Park, Kansas; Jeremiah Woods and his wife, Victoria, of Chapman, Kansas; and Jordan Woods of Springdale, Arkansas.

He was a cherished grandfather to Trace, Blaine, Jayla, Roper, and Tripp, and a proud granddog dad to Reece.

Craig dedicated many years of service to the telephone company before retiring. He was known for his warm heart, friendly nature, and love of family and friends. He enjoyed life's simple pleasures, including relaxing on his front porch swing, sharing a cold Budweiser with friends, watching old Westerns, hunting, and The St. Louis Cardinals. Whether visiting with friends or spending time outdoors, Ed found joy in every day and left lasting memories with everyone who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Craig and Phyllis Woods and a grandson, Brett Kinderknecht.

Ed will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
