Donna Hawkins

Donna Sue Hawkins, age 70 of Manhattan, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, at the Good Shepherd Hospice House in Manhattan.

She was born on April 11, 1956, in Manhattan, the daughter of Lorraine and Helene (Oetinger) Pritchard. 

Donna married Mike Hawkins in 1990. Donna and Mike shared two children, Kenton and Bryan. Mike preceded her in death in 2020. 

Donna and Mike enjoyed many trips to Cozumel, Mexico during the summers. While in Cozumel, they enjoyed snorkeling, beach-front restaurants, collecting sea shells, and taking the ferry over to Cancun to explore. During the winter, they traveled to many K-State bowl games. Donna also attended Trinity Presbyterian Church. 

Donna taught English & Women's Literature at Rock Creek High School. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading Stephen King. 

She is survived by her sons, Kenton Howell of Manhattan and Bryan Howell of Grandview Plaza, and by her brother Larry Pritchard of Leonardville.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30pm, Wednesday, September 9th, 2026, at the Anderes-Pfeifley Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Leonardville City Cemetery.
