He was born March 30, 1941 in Marion, Kansas, the son of Phillip Antone and Esther Ida (Teetzen) Vinduska.
David graduated from Abilene High School in 1959. After high school, he served in the United States Air Force. He attended trade school to become an automotive mechanic, a trade that took him through many different jobs throughout his career.
On September 19, 1969, David married Janet Maye Richner in Blue Rapids. They celebrated 56 years of marriage. She survives of the home.
Dave worked as a mechanic for a Volkswagen dealership. He and his wife Janet then became over the road truck drivers together, a career that would span 34 years. They sent postcards to the students and visited the school to teach them about their semi. He also spent time working for Bruna Implement and A&D Lindquist Fencing.
He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, OOIDA and received the Riley County Conservation District Grassland Management Award in 2010. He was most proud of being an AA member for 47 years. He cherished the meetings and memories he made with close friends in the group.
