Clifford T. Gordon

Clifford T. “Buster” Gordon, Jr., age 79, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan. He was born on July 14, 1934 in Wakefield, Kansas, the son of Clifford T. and Ivy (Sickles) Gordon. He taught school in the Concordia and Osborne school systems for seven years before coming to Fort Riley where he taught two years at Jefferson Elementary and 27 years at Fort Riley Jr. High School. He is survived by two sisters, Jane Carpenter and husband James of Independence, Missouri and Rhoda Dinsmore and husband Robert of Wichita, Kansas; a niece, Kim Taber and husband Kenneth of Benton, Kansas; two nephews, Steve Carpenter and wife Robin of Tampa, Florida and Philip Dinsmore and wife Jodie of Wichita, Kansas and five great nieces and nephews. As per Clifford’s wishes, there will be no services and his ashes will be scattered.
