Cindy Rose

Cindy K Rose, age 65, of Waterville, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at Community Memorial Health Care in Marysville.

Cindy was born on July 4, 1958, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She is the daughter of Norman Zantjer and Gertrude “Trudy” J. (Koopsen) Herzog. She married LeRoy Leonard on March 19, 2009, in Bella Vista, Arkansas. She worked as the Doughnut Lady at Casey’s General Store until her recent retirement. 

Cindy enjoyed spending time outdoors during sunny days. She was known for her green thumb and could grow anything. Cindy especially loved everything about the Fourth of July and spending time with her grandbabies.

Survivors include her husband LeRoy, her parents Norman (Carol) Zantjer of Omaha, Nebraska and Gertrude “Trudy” (Erv) Herzog of Bella Vista, Arkansas, her children Brandy (Brandon) McCubbin of Barnes, Kansas, Shawnacy (Sheldon) Lofgreen of Gilbert, Arizona, Tiffany Leonard of Blue Rapids, Kansas, Bill (Heather) Leonard of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Anthony Leonard of Saucier, Mississippi, by 14 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren, a brother Jeff (Phyllis) Zantjer of Watauga, Texas, a sister Tammy (JD) Fink of Elkhorn, Nebraska, 

Preceding Cindy in death was grandson, Canyon Kelly.

A private celebration of life will be held by her family at a later date.
