Martha J. McGinnis, age 71, of Seneca, passed away at St. Francis Medical Center in Topeka, on Saturday, October 31, 2020.

Martha was born September 16, 1949, at Marysville, to Ralph L. and Ester F. (Skillin) Adkins. 

She graduated from Valley Heights High School in 1967.

She worked several years as a Certified Nurses Aide and later for CR Industries in Seneca. Then with her husband Tom in his Tax Accounting Firm at Corning.  

Martha loved her family and lived her life around her children and grandkids. She was fun loving and loved the outdoors, but also loved to go shopping. 

She married John Ralph, they later divorced. She was married to James R. Terry on March 20, 1987, at Blue Rapids, he passed away on May 14, 1998. She then married William T. “Tom” McGinnis on June 30, 2001, at Seneca, he passed away on March 17, 2019.

Survivors include her two sons: John (Teresa) Ralph of Tampa, Florida and Travis (Rebecca) Ralph of Seneca, ten step-children: Kelly (Sean) Nitz of Tonganoxie, Robin (Mike) Jones of Highland, Keith Terry of Highland, Joann (Vernon) McAuliffe of Seneca, Fay (Jeff) Warders of Junction City, Becky (David) Knox of Navarre, Jimmy McGinnis of Kansas City, Missouri, Christina (Francis) Hopkins of Hiawatha, Patty (Brad) Stone of Salina and Tammy (Jeff) Haggerty of Centralia, by two brothers: Arnold (Cindy) Adkins of Blue Rapids and Larry Adkins of Waterville, by nine grandchildren: Robert, Austin, Spencer, Zachory, Jacob, Lilyauna, Damion, and Lucas, and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Preceding Martha in death were her parents, her husbands James and Tom, a grandson Michael Ralph, a step-son Robert Terry, and two step daughters: Nancy Tilton and Ginger Flower.

A viewing will be held from noon to 8:00 pm, Friday, November 6, 2020, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 7, 2020, at New Hope Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Blue Rapids with Pastor Dick Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, south of Blue Rapids.
