Lee F. Wohler, age 92, of Waterville, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at his home.   

Lee was born June 22, 1928, at Waterville.  He lived on the same farm south of Waterville for 84 years before moving to the town of Waterville. 

He is the son of Frank T. and Lillie A. (Wahlbrink) Wohler. 

He attended Cottage Hill School until the 8th grade when he transferred to Waterville High School where he graduated in 1946.   

He married Shirley Roeth on July 22, 1956, at Waterville. To this union was born three children: Jennifer, Steve and Jim.   

He loved the land and spent his entire life farming.

 He was a member of the Waterville United Methodist Church and served two terms on the board of the Farmer’s Union CO-OP. He enjoyed working with antique Case tractors.    

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Eileen Jacobson. 

Survivors include his wife Shirley of the home, his children; Jennifer (Gary) Raub of Vermillion, Steve (Toni) Wohler of Waterville and Jim (Jean) Wohler of Chapman, six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.  

A visitation will be held on Friday September 11, 2020, between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 12, 2020, at the United Methodist Church in Waterville, with Pastor Troy Bowers officiating. Beverly Hedke will be the organist. Music will include “Peace In The Valley” sung by Jim Wohler and “Hymn of Promise” a congregational hymn. Honorary Bearers are his grandchildren; Justin Raub, Clifton Raub, Nathan Raub, Kris Wohler, Evan Wohler and Marie Wohler. 

A private family inurnment will be held prior to the service. 

Memorials are suggested to Meadowlark Hospice or the Waterville United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of Terry-Christie Funeral Home at PO Box 61, Waterville, Kansas 66548.
