Eva Mary (Lillibridge) Flower was born on October 29, 1916 in Bridgeport, Nebraska.
She died July 10, 2020, at Blue Valley Senior Living in Blue Rapids. She was 103 years, 8 months, and 10 days old.
She married Charles Sanford Flower on June 29, 1935 at Manhattan, Kansas Courthouse. They moved to Blue Rapids in 1947.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hiram and Agnes Clara Holle Lillibridge. She was also preceded in death by all her siblings (sisters): Maxine Reisen, Viola Sedlacek, Delma Weiche, and Lucille Nemechek and (brothers) Earl, Floyd and Lloyd Lillibridge.
She is survived by her children Leroy Flower (wife, Darlene deceased), Kenneth (Carol) Flower, and Sharen (Ronald) Grissom. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Eva worked as a cook from 1958 to 1968 at Blue Rapids High School. She loved to bake pies for the Methodist Church Rotary.
A few of her many hobbies were sewing, quilt making, crocheting, gardening, canning and spending time at the lake. She really enjoyed the traveling card parties she shared with her sisters and their husbands. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family and sharing old times. She will be greatly missed.
Viewing is from noon to 8:00 pm, Sunday, with visitation between 6:00 and 8:00 pm, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville. Graveside Services are at 10:00 am, Monday, July 20, 2020, at Fairmont Cemetery in Blue Rapids, with Pastor Troy Bowers officiating. Burial is at Fairmont Cemetery in Blue Rapids.
The family requests the use of masks and social distancing for those attending the service and visitation.
