Lola L. Danielsen, age 84, of Randolph, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2020, at her home.

Lola was born on March 7, 1936 at her family’s home outside Coffey, Missouri, to Marion and Veva A. (Smith) Lowrey. 

She graduated from Harrison County High School in 1953. 

She met Norman H. Danielsen when they both worked at Hallmark in Kansas City, they married on May 27, 1956, at Blue Ridge Christian Union Church. 

Lola was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She lovingly nurtured her family, garden and flowers. She also gave back to her community through her work with La Sertoma, Danish Brotherhood and Winkler’s Willing Workers.

Lola was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waterville. She was also a member of La Sertoma one of the oldest service clubs in the United States, where, among other positions, she is a past International President.

Survivors include her husband Norm, her two children: Geary (Jeanine) Danielsen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Tish (Robert) Heavner of Randolph, six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, a brother John (Sharon) Wiley of Independence, Missouri and a sister Charlotte Wiley of New Mexico.

Preceding Lola in death were her parents and a sister Marian Wilson.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Waterville with Sister Mary Arie officiating. Kim Oatney will sing “Amazing Grace” and “Beyond The Sunset”.A private burial was held at Riverside Cemetery on April 24, 2020. Casket Bearers were Geary Danielsen, Robert Heavner, John Wiley, Dane Danielsen, Steen Danielsen and Jens Danielsen. A viewing was held the day prior to the burial.

Memorials are suggested to St. Mark Lutheran Church and may be sent in care of Terry-Christie Funeral Home at PO Box 61, Waterville, Kansas 66548.
