Evelyn Carmaleita Woody

Evelyn Carmaleita Woody, age 87, passed from this world December 24, 2018.

She was born in Malden, Missouri on March 29, 1931, to Hubert and Cleo Blake.

Carmaleita married A.A. Woody March 10, 1951, and together they had six children: Douglas, Carmella, Martha, Sarah, Timothy, and Matthew.

Carmaleita was a homemaker and full time mother as well as helping Woody with the pharmacy they owned and operated in Blue Rapids, Kansas for many years. She was blessed with fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren, which she adored.

Carmaleita was preceded in death by her husband, ‘Woody’; a daughter in-law, Mary Woody; and her brother, Gerald Blake.

Private services will be held on December 31, 2018, with interment at Fairmont Cemetery in Blue Rapids.

Memorials may be made to the Blue Valley Senior Living in lieu of flowers, and may be sent in care of Terry-Christie Funeral Home at PO Box 61, Waterville, Kansas 66548.
