Christopher A. Stevenson, age 49, of Sabetha, formerly from Waterville, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Lakeside Terrace Assisted Living in Sabetha.
Chris was born on April 9, 1970, in Davison, Michigan, to Edward C. and Sherrill K. (Brooks) Stevenson.
Chris is a graduate of Marysville High School.
He worked at Twin Valley Developmental Services in Greenleaf for many years.
Chris was a fun loving guy. Many of his family’s one liners came from him. “You’re not my boss” when told to do something and “fix me plate” when there was food around, were two favorites. When he was younger, he loved to wrestle and bicycle all around town, visiting the local business owners. He also earned his Star Rank in the Boy Scouts. He was always quite the ladies man.
He loved cheering on the K-State Wildcats and Valley Heights Mustangs, swimming, going to summer camp, going to church, listening to gospel music and playing his guitar. He preached many sermons and wrote many songs over his life, most of them only heard by his family.
Survivors include his father Edward (Sandra) Stevenson of Davison, Michigan, step-dad Bob Livergood of Waterville, his two brothers: Eddie (Briauna) Stevenson of Waterville and Tim (Lana) Stevenson of Blue Rapids, five uncles: Darrell (Louanna) Brooks of Manhattan, Lyle (Janice) Brooks of Blue Rapids, Mike (Dalva) Carter of Conway, South Carolina, Randy Carter of Macae, Brazil, Terre (Bev) Carter of Blue Rapids, and an aunt Connie (Dave) Evans of Frankfort along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding Chris in death was his mother Sherrill Livergood.
