Eunice E. Larson, age 92, of Waterville, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Hanover Hospital in Hanover.
Eunice E. Owen was born October 31, 1926, at Frankfort, the only daughter of Ida May (Tilley) and Earl A. Owen. She was raised in Vliets, attended grade school there and graduated from Frankfort High School in 1944.
She worked at the Citizens State Bank and Waterville Lumber Company in Waterville for several years.
She married Luin D. Larson on May 11, 1947. The family farmed, moving north of Waterville in the Star neighborhood in 1960.
She was a member of the Waterville United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, holding various offices in both, and taught Sunday School for a number of years. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge of the I.O.O.F. and a bridge club.
Survivors include two sons; Clint (Cathy) Larson of Cypress, Texas and Kurt (Tena) Larson of Waterville, a daughter in law Marsha Larson, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband Luin in 1998, a son Michael Larson and a grandson Joshua Zirger.
Visitation will be Friday, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville. Memorial services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 9, 2019, at the United Methodist Church in Waterville with Pastor Debby Dick officiating. Beverly Hedke will play a Big Band Medley as prelude and postlude. Kim Oatney will sing “There’s Something About That Name”. A private inurnment will follow later after the service at Riverside Cemetery in Waterville.
