Joann M. Harding, age 77, of Waterville, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Cambridge Place Nursing Home in Marysville. Joann was born September 22, 1942, at Barnes, to Wallace W. and Alice M. (Sturgon) Dalrymple. She graduated from Barnes High School in 1960. Joann had been married to Richard A. Prout and later to Tom Harding. Joann graduated from Crum’s Beauty School in Manhattan. She worked as a Beautician at the Beauty Shop in Barnes and Hair Affair in Waterville. Joann was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She enjoyed canning and cooking and baking. She loved being with her family and her sorority sisters. Joann had also worked at Casey’s making pizzas for many years. Survivors include her two daughters; Jana (Ivan) Nordquist of Marion and Dawn (Eric) Brooker of Derby, six grandchildren: Kalya Gandy, Andrea Johnson, John Nordquist, Katie Dicks, Charlie Nordquist and Ava Brooker, and three great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Weston and Baby J. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother William Dalrymple. Viewing is from noon to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, with visitation between 6:00pm and 8:00 pm, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville. Funeral services are at 11:00 am, on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville with Mr. Rod Christie officiating. Kim Oatney is to sing “Amazing Grace”. Honorary Bearers are Kalya Gandy, Andrea Johnson, John Nordquist, Katie Dicks, Charlie Nordquist and Ava Brooker. Cremation will follow the service and a private inurnment at Maplewood Cemetery will be held at a later date.
