Jo Alys Terry, age 75, of Waterville, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Blue Valley Senior Living in Blue Rapids.

Jo Alys was born November 7, 1943, at Leadville, Colorado, to Ira J. “Joe” and Lorine E. (Tryon) Binder. 

She graduated from Waterville, High School with the class of 1961. 

She was married to Norman Terry in 1963, they later divorced.

Jo Alys was a member of the Waterville United Methodist Church. 

She had worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant at Cambridge Place Nursing Home in Marysville. Jo Alys loved her dogs, Naisa and Sweetie. She loved her family and friends and treated her nieces and nephew as her own. She also enjoyed reading, working word puzzles and had a very diverse movie collection.  Her smile was amazing and her hugs were the best ever.

Survivors include her sister Beni (Paul) Goebel of Lawrence, nieces and nephews; Todd (Rosanna) Barr, Greg (Diane) Barr, Audrey (Brian) Goebel-Hall and Joseph Goebel.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a baby sister Jill and her sister Beth Krasny. Funeral services are planned for 10:30 am, Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at the Waterville United Methodist Church with Pastor Troy Bowers officiating. Music will include congregational hymns “How Great Thou Art” and “Hymn of Promise”, accompanied by organist Beverly Hedke. Casket bearers are: Adam Yungeberg, Allen Yungeberg, Tony Yungeberg, Chuck Tryon, Bill Tryon, Don Tryon and Bruce Tryon. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery in Waterville.  

Memorials are suggested to the Jo Alys Terry Memorial, to be designated later, and may be sent in care of Terry-Christie Funeral Home at PO Box 61, Waterville, Kansas 66548.
