Patsy R. Ratliff

Patsy R. Ratliff, age 89, of Marysville, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Cambridge Place Senior Care in Marysville.

Patsy was born on February 10, 1930, at Crete, Nebraska to Elmer H. and Margaret E. (Stewart) Ahl.

She graduated from Crete High School in 1948.

On August 18, 1950, she married Lloyd W. Ratliff, Sr.

Patsy worked as a nurse’s aide at nursing homes in Washington and Blue Rapids.

She was a hardworking, good hearted woman who was a homemaker and loved being around children. She enjoyed embroidery, playing Scrabble, doing word search puzzles, and canning fruits and vegetables for her family.

Survivors include her two children; Lloyd “Biff” (Deb) Ratliff, Jr. and Susan Bender, both of Marysville, a brother Marv Ahl of Memphis, Tennessee, 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband Lloyd in 2008, a son Michael Ratliff and a sister Beth Smetter.

Funeral services are at 10:30 am, Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Terry-Christie Funeral Home in Waterville with Pastor Lyle Person officiating. Casket Bearers include Chris Whitesell, Trevor Whitesell, Austin Bender, Jack Ratliff, Jr. and Colby Holtzen. Burial is at Prospect Hill Cemetery, North of Blue Rapids.

Memorials are suggested to the “Johnson Cancer Research Center” at Kansas State University and may be sent in care of Terry-Christie Funeral Home at PO Box 61, Waterville, Kansas 66548.
